The Pennington/Boyd Wedding at the Gainesville Civic Center was a smashing success

This letter just made my 2010 year start out right. I just felt the urge to share this with all my clients and people who put their trust in me to create an amazing wedding for them. We worked with two families and did everything from the rehearsal dinner to the final sweeping of the floors at the reception. We too were equally as blessed to have such fabulous clients.

Hi Jennifer! Well, after a week of being home and decompressing I have had time to regroup and begin some correspondence. I just wanted to attach a few of the pictures I made (won't have any professional ones for a few weeks yet) and just tell you how absolutely PERFECT the entire Pennington/Boyd wedding affair was from beginning to end! The rehearsal dinner was fabulous and beautiful. The flowers were just as expected and I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was with the reception food and decorations. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!Your attention to our needs and the desire to please kept me worry free and extremely peaceful about Lindsay's day. I would not change a thing and I know we will look back on Jan 3, 2010 with many beautiful, happy memories. May you, and Events By Dezine, be blessed in the coming year.Sandy Penningtona very happy mother of the bride!Lynn Haven, FL

Weddings and Special Event Production and Catering with Events By Dezine: Donating a wedding for a good cause

Weddings and Special Event Production and Catering with Events By Dezine: Donating a wedding for a good cause

Donating a wedding for a good cause

We had the opportunity to give a gift like no other. Thanks to the generousity of Roger Kahn of 550 Trackside in downtown Lawrencville, Georgia, Johanna Ankermiller and Todd Stickland had their dream wedding. Roger contacted me a few months ago about a bride he met that has had to postpone her wedding 3 times due to her battle with cancer. With money being tight from mounting medical bills, Johanna never thought she and her love would ever be able to have the wedding. Roger donated his facilty and many other companies donated their services to create a wedding day that was so special for her, and her dreams were realized.

CBS and NBC were onsite to document this amazing event as was Simply Wed Magazine. I just want to take the time to honor those who gave as much as the could to create Johanaa's Dream.

An at home wedding at the Suddeth Property in Cumming, Georgia

The Suddeth property is such an amazing place. Located on the outskirts of Cumming, Georgia, this made for a perfect place for a fall wedding. Dianne is such a beautiful bride and an amazing person, I felt so honored to be a part of this couple's day. A day that was a long time coming, they had been together for ten years, and finally decided to make it official this fall. Along with the fabulous talents of Orpheus and Aphrodite Photography and DJ service, we made Dianne and Steve's day into all she had envisioned, and boy did she have a vision. She wanted her southern roots to be shown, yet the elegance of her taste to be on display. She chose different shades of pink for her flowers, adding greens to her bridesmaids and then comleting her look with a deep purple and lime green fashion that draped her tables and decor.

Deanna Lancaster officiated the wedding ceremony and even with the oncoming storm the ceremony took place outside among the beautiful landscape with the lake as the backdrop. what made this even more fabulous was this couple in particular. They chose to focus on their marriage than worry about the weather and in turn it was even more amazing and the pictures are quite the example of that.

Wedding Basics

The thought of planning a wedding from start to finish can be overwhelming in itself. For those who have not planned a wedding before or are thinking about it, let me just refresh your thought process and give you some hints to getting on the right track to having a fabulous wedding no matter what the budget.

I call it the SMILE approach.

Simplify- Take the tasks that you find the most overwhelming and seek help from qualified professionals that can ease your mind and your stresses about that particular job.

Mingle- Take the time, and I don't mean hours upon hours, to get to know the companies you would like to work with. If you narrow your choices down to a few options. You can go through their information and decide the best fit for your needs.

Imagine- Use your personal vision to guide your style and design of your wedding and reception. It doesn't have to be elaborate, or over done, a basic theme is enough to get started, like choosing your colors, time of day to get married, and time of year. Choosing the place will eventually become the canvas of your wedding and with the ideas you share with your wedding team, even if its your mom and best friend, the vision will fall into place.

Learn- Keep your mind open to new ideas and professional guidance from the companies you hire to complete your wedding day. Make sure you hire real and competent professionals that you feel can deliver the services you want. Check out their past work, read some referrals, make sure they carry insurance and business licenses. And most of all, learn their individual service approach to ensure you have a great experience.

Experience- You've done the leg work, you've hired your wedding team to make your day happen. And now you should experience the wedding you envisioned. To get to this part of your SMILE experience you have to ask yourself, ' how much time can I or am I willing to take to plan my wedding. If I were to take off from my job to do this, how much money would I not be earning with the time I spend on the planning process.' If this doesn't cross your mind, then perhaps your Experience is meant to be part of the work to put your wedding together. Or if you find the task too daunting, time consuming, or just plain confusing, I implore you to Experience your wedding with great planning and services from the people you hire. Whether it is with me and the Events By Dezine team or with other fabulous professionals in the area, my hope for all the brides out there is to have a SMILE Approach and a SMILE experience.

For more information on our services, please contact us at www.eventsbydezine.com. We will do our best to guide you to the fabulous service providers in our area that fit your needs and budget. We would love to work with all brides, but we want it to be the right fit for you and for us.... In the end, our clients become a part of our family, and we treat their events as such. I am grateful to all our clients, friends, and family. Without you, our experience would go unnoticed.

Wedding in the north Georgia Mountains with an added touch

I've been a part of catering and decorating weddings in the north Georgia area for 11 years. Event though a lot of what we do is the same each week, every couple brings in their own unique style and turns what would be a basic room into something magnificent. The Nichols wedding proved to be no different. Last night, the lodge at R-Ranch lit up into a fabulous display of candles throughout the lodge and draped fabrics and lanterns to accent at first the ceremony and be the decor marking the dance floor during the festivities. The guests at nearly 150 people enjoyed dining in the champagne and ivory accented table settings and dancing the night away under the twinkling lights that were hanging from the ceiling and placed all throughout the rocks on the fireplace. This beautiful decor was finished of with the perfect sweet ending, one of our most popular designs, brought to us from one of our brides back in May 2006, was made even more beautiful with the style that Elizabeth, our bride of the day, envisioned during on of our planning meetings back September. The cake with layers of Strawberry, Key Lime, and Chocolate was enjoyed by all the guests thankfully, since it was quite a big cake! We added flowers that matched the bouquets, tiering down the cake for accent. The bride wanted flowers, but not too heavy. She wanted to see the flowers as the accent and not the focus of the cake. All in all, another great success with Events By Dezine catering, cakes, and flowers. Our staff really did a faboulous job in making this wedding amazing. A finaly of sparklers for the send off was the perfect end to a beautiful candle light reception. I have to thank everyone including Mary Williams, Wendy Wood, and Tina Mincey plus the entire crew for their hard work and tireless effort to make all of our clients happy.

The Bosten Wedding goes green

The weather in north Georgia has been absolutely unpredictable over the past month. It was the same case for the wedding day of Richard and Dena Bosten. The weather called for massive storms, hail and high winds, yet, the day went from humid and a bit rainy to amazingly beautiful! The mountains surrounding the lodge lit up with sunshine and beautiful blooming flowers and trees. Dena's vision of her green reception decorated with natural rocks, lots and lots of candles, even down to green napkins, was completed with the amazing mountain surroundings of R-Ranch's lodge. The day was beautiful as was the reception we catered and decorated for Dena and Richard. Terilynn with Orpheus and Aphrodite Photography capured the events of the day and evening in what turned out to be such a beautiful wedding and reception. I can't wait to get some of the amazing photos she took, especially the sunset picture over the valley captured in my snapshot above.

We made the wedding cake which adorned matching flowers from the bride's bouquet and the Monogram to bring the family name into the theme of the reception. We are looking forward to seeing and sharing the pictures from Orpheus and Aphrodite from the Bosten's wedding featuring the flowers we created, the catering buffet adorned with greenery candles and crystals, and the amazing beauty of the north Georgia mountain surroundings at R-Ranch.
